Privacy Policy

Effective 11 August 2026 Last updated 11 August 2026 Applies to the Verloq Android app

1. Summary

Verloq processes your voice entirely on your own device. It does not upload your recordings, does not require an account, and does not use cloud or AI services to transform your voice. Everything the app creates — recordings, presets, practice history — stays in the app's private storage on your phone and is removed when you delete it or uninstall the app.

In one line: your voice never leaves your device unless you deliberately export or share a clip yourself.

2. Who is responsible

Verloq is published by Crownigo Laboratories, an independent software studio based in India. Crownigo Laboratories is the data fiduciary/controller for the limited data described in this policy.

3. What the app stores

All of the following is stored locally on your device, in storage private to the app:

Data Why it exists Where it lives
Voice recordings you make So you can transform them, compare before/after, and replay them On your device only
Transformed audio you save So your saved results persist between sessions On your device only
Presets and pitch/tone settings So the app reopens with the sound you prefer On your device only
Voice goal, practice streak and session history To show progress and generate daily practice suggestions On your device only
Reminder time and app preferences To send the optional daily practice reminder On your device only

The app does not ask for and does not collect: your name, email address, phone number, postal address, contacts, precise location, or payment information. There is no sign-up and no user account.

4. Your voice recordings

Voice recordings are the most sensitive thing this app touches, so to be explicit:

5. Permissions and why they are needed

Permission Purpose Required?
Microphone To record the voice clips you ask the app to record and transform Required for the core feature
Notifications To send the daily practice reminder you set Optional — the app works without it
Storage / media access Only if you choose to export a clip out of the app Optional

You can withdraw any of these at any time in Android Settings → Apps → Verloq → Permissions. Revoking the microphone permission disables recording; the rest of the app remains usable.

6. Third parties

Verloq uses no third-party servers, analytics, advertising networks, or AI services. The app integrates no third-party SDKs for tracking, analytics, advertising or crash reporting, and it contains no advertising of any kind.

Independently of the app, Google Play processes your download and update of the app under Google's Privacy Policy. We receive only the aggregate, anonymous statistics Google shows every developer in the Play Console (such as install and crash counts). Those cannot identify you.

7. How long data is kept

Because nothing is stored on a server, retention is entirely in your hands. Recordings, settings and practice history remain on your device until you delete them in the app, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app — at which point they are removed from your device. We hold no copy, so there is nothing for us to retain or delete on your behalf.

The only exception is correspondence: if you email us for support, we keep that email thread so we can follow up on your issue, and delete it on request.

8. Your rights and choices

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 — and comparable laws such as the GDPR where they apply — you have rights of access, correction, erasure, and withdrawal of consent. For this app, those rights are exercised directly on your device:

9. Children

Verloq is not directed at children. It is intended for users aged 13 and above, and it is not listed in the Google Play Families programme. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Since the app collects no personal data and stores everything locally on your own device, no child's data reaches us in any case.

If you are below the age of majority where you live, please use the app with the knowledge and involvement of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has used the app in a way that concerns you, the recordings are on that device and can be removed using the steps in section 8.

10. Security

Your data is protected by Android's application sandbox: files written to the app's private storage cannot be read by other apps on a normally configured device. Keeping your device updated, locked with a PIN or biometric, and free of untrusted apps is the most effective protection for the recordings stored on it. No method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of data held on a device we do not control.

11. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes — particularly any change that would involve data leaving your device — will also be announced in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the revised policy.
